What was it like in Spain?
Manolo is originally from the Canary Islands region of Spain, so he has been back to that area multiple times. Along with numerous visits for around a month at a time Manolo moved from Spain to the United States when he was four years old, so he still remembers his life in Spain. So far, along with his first four years in Spain, Manolo has been back to the Canary Islands four times and for a month each time.
Manolo explains how the difference between the Canary Islands, Spain and the United States is how the land there is much more rural. He says, it is possible to travel around the whole island in about and hour and thirty minutes, and the city is fairly close to the country side. When in Spain, Manolo spends most of his time playing a lot of soccer and is always going to the beach.

Why does he go to Spain?
Aside from going to Spain just to be able to return to the region he was born in, Manolo goes to Spain for various other reasons. Manolo's entire extended family lives over in Spain, so when he goes he says that he usually stays with his cousins. Even though Manolo stays with his cousins most of the time, his family does have a house on the island. Aside form returning to Spain for family, Manolo explains how his parents also still have reliable doctors in Spain they still go to despite living on a different continent.
Aside from going to Spain just to be able to return to the region he was born in, Manolo goes to Spain for various other reasons. Spain or the United States?

However, he is glad that they moved because Manolo prefers living in the United States rather than Spain. Although he loves living in the United States, Manolo does say how he misses being in Spain at times and it will always be a part of his life and a definite travel destination for him.
When in Spain Manolo plays soccer, however he prefers golf and in the United States he is able to play a lot of it and play on nice courses; he says how in Spain he can't play a lot of golf like he does here in the U.S. Manolo loves and misses his family, friends, experiences, and time in Spain and he continues to travel there a lot, but as a whole he prefers the United States and is happy living here and visiting the Canary Islands instead of being there all the time.
