Ending English 2
It has been a long year, yet it passed by quickly. I have learned a lot in english class second semester and was able to analyze various texts and improve all my literary skills. Through reading and annotating different books, essays, and other texts I was able to become more versatile with my analysis skills. Also, within this class, I was able to significantly improve my writing skills. In all areas I have improved, been challenged and tested, but overall I have had many great moments in this class.
Improvements
As a whole in my second year of high school english I have significantly improved from my past abilities in many areas, however I think my biggest improvement of the year would be my writing and ability to analyze texts. Throughout the entire year of english by writing numerous blog series and essays I significantly improved my ability to write. I enjoyed writing to begin with, but writing in different styles like a blog, a comparative essay, or analysis I am now able to adequately write a well-wrtitten essay in any area.
Along with my writing skills, my ability to annotate, analyze, and understand the true meaning of various texts has also improved. In the past I have had some trouble with annotations and understanding the exact meaning of passages from texts, especially Shakespeare, but this year after analyzing so many different pieces of literature and being guided along the way, I was able to greatly improve my analysis skills. Sometimes I find it hard to understand some pieces of literature and I can not exactly distinguish the meaning, but now after a whole year of practice I have the method down and can analyze and annotate any type of literary piece.

Challenges
Although I have had many improvements from this year's english class, I did struggle at some points. My biggest challenges consisted of staying on task and scheduling my time right in order to give every assignment and project the right amount of time. This year there were many projects, essays, assignments, and more therefore it was a bit challenging to balance them all and give them the appropriate amount of time to work on each.
However, even though I was a bit challenged with keeping my head above water and not falling behind and having a pile up of work to do; in the end I overcame the struggle and was able to come out this year on top with an A in the class. Staying organized and on task was hard at times, especially trying to balance with all of my other classes too, but as a whole I kept myself together and handled each project and assignment with care and an adequate amount of time despite the slight challenge.
My Greatest Moments This Year
As my second year of high school english comes to an end and I am reflecting on it, it is nice to recognize some of my shining moments in this class. One of my greatest achievements is being able to maintain an A in the class all year long. Another strength I had was having almost every membean assignment done perfectly. In-class essays throughout the year were always a favorite of mine; but overall my best moment this entire year was probably earning a 95% on the giant, important Next Big Thing Project. I was so proud of myself and my group for achieving success in a project about success and it was one of my greatest moments this year amongst all the others.
What's to Come Next
I am sad that this year of English class has passed so fast and is already over, but despite my sorrow I am excited to see what is to come next for my english career. English has always been my favorite subject, therefore I am excited to continue it on in the IB HL class. What I am most excited for next year is reading more texts that will be nonfiction, I find non fiction and reality very interesting and am excited to see how my analysis of fiction will differ from nonfiction literature. Along with the new texts I will be reading next year, I am excited for everything else to come.
